TIME names Corsano Multi-Parameter Wearable one of the Best Inventions of 2026

TIME has included the Corsano Multi-Parameter Wearable in its Best Inventions of 2026 list, in the Medical & Healthcare category. The annual list recognises products and technologies that change how we live, work and care for one another.

Closing the gap between spot checks

In most hospitals, vital signs on general wards are still measured every four to six hours. Between those checks, a patient’s condition can deteriorate without anyone noticing. The Corsano Multi-Parameter Wearable addresses this gap with continuous, medical-grade monitoring from a lightweight wrist-worn device.

The wearable continuously measures heart rate, respiratory rate, skin temperature and further vital parameters, and securely transmits real-time data and alerts to the care team. It supports patients in hospital as well as those recovering at home, allowing clinicians to extend monitoring beyond traditional care models.

Partnership with Medtronic

Since 2025, Medtronic has distributed the Corsano Multi-Parameter Wearable in the United States and Western Europe as part of its Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio. The device, known in Corsano’s own portfolio as the CardioWatch 287-2, is CE-marked under the EU MDR as a Class IIa medical device and has FDA 510(k) clearance.

“We are honoured that TIME has recognised our work,” says Peter Stas, CEO and co-founder of Corsano Health. “This is the result of years of development, clinical validation and close collaboration with clinicians, nurses and patients, and of a strong partnership with Medtronic that brings continuous monitoring to hospitals at scale. Continuous monitoring on the general ward is no longer a vision. It is in use today.”

This recognition belongs to many people:

Our team in The Hague and Geneva, who have spent years turning a research device into a CE-MDR Class IIa and FDA 510(k)-cleared monitoring system.

Our partners at Medtronic, who bring the Corsano Multi-Parameter Wearable to hospitals across the US and Western Europe as part of their Acute Care & Monitoring portfolio.

The clinicians, nurses and patients who tested, challenged and improved the system along the way.

Continuous monitoring on the general ward is no longer a vision. It is in use, and it is saving time that patients do not have.

Thank you, TIME. On to the next stage.
